{Liam. 10 days old.} :: Toronto, Ajax Newborn Baby Photographer

The biggest compliment a client can give me is to refer me to friends and family.  This sleepy little boy is one of my client’s best friend’s first born.  He was oh. so. sleepy which made for some amazing cute images of him….

Congrats J & M, Liam is a sweetheart. ~ enjoy every little moment with your sweet baby boy.

{miss sofia. | 4 weeks old.} :: Woodbridge Newborn Baby Photographer, Toronto Newborn Baby Photographer

Remember, this little man? i photographed him with his lovely parents when he was 3 weeks old in march 2009.  well….he’s grown quite a bit since then.  So much that now he’s a big brother to a beautiful little baby sister named Sofia.

This is big brother, whom i photographed with my vintage door and in a cute little basket a year ago….

i haven’t used my vintage door in over a year.  What a perfect opportunity to pull it out and capture his sister using similar imagery ….

It truly is a wonderful feeling being a part of my client’s lives and watching their families grow.  P contacted me at the beginning of the year to tell me she was expecting #2.  Thanks so much for letting me be a part of such an amazing time in your lives.  Your children are beautiful!  congrats P&B.

{Cameron. | 10 days old. } :: Pickering Newborn Baby Photographer, Toronto Newborn Baby Photographer

Cameron. oh cameron.  you funny little boy — you made me smile and brought so much laughter to your newborn session.  you see….cameron had a little big accident on his daddy….in the perfect spot.  you must not of liked me giggling at your daddy because you came  back at me with full force :) .  I love it.  so little and already protecting your family.

this was one of my favourite sessions.  mommy S knew exactly what she wanted for her baby’s newborn images.  she knew exactly what she wanted for her maternity session too.  i love it when my clients have visions.

Congrats S, C and big brother J ~ your new big little family is beautiful.

{connections. | Miss Ariana. 6 weeks old.} :: Toronto Baby Newborn Photographer, Ajax Newborn Baby Photographer

R’s sister had called me to book this session for her sweet newborn niece.  when i asked how old she was, i was told she was just born.  For me, a baby ‘just born’ is under a week old because i normally photograph  newborns between 3 to 6 days old but definitely before 10 days.  There is a small timeframe that newborns are ‘newborn’.  After the two week period, they just don’t curl as well and  they just aren’t as tiny.  if  a family is looking for ‘newborn’ images  (baskets, curled) and the baby is older than 10 days, there is a possibility that those images may not happen.  Now there are some families that prefer their baby to look older and that’s perfectly fine (and yes! i do photograph babies older than 10 days).  When i found out this baby was 6 weeks old i was a little unsure how the ‘newborn’ session would go.  I have been known to work my magic and achieve newborn style images with babies older than 10 days….i have gotten some 4 week olds that i have managed to curl and soothe off to dreamland…..but definitely have never tried to get ‘newborn’ images from a 6 week old.  ….until i met Miss Ariana. She proved me wrong, let me work my magic  and slept and curled beautifully for her session.

I must say….this family was so. much. fun.   Newlyweds, new home, new baby….such a great adventure to start together.  R lived and grew up in the beaches where my studio is located.  L talked about how they used to go on long walks on the boardwalk and had numerous dates on the beach.  they giggled and R would probably even say L exaggerated a bit when he recollected about how they met…or should i say how she seduced him….isn’t that right L???  that’s okay…we’ll let L tell it like he wants but  R and i know the real story :) .  So sweet to see them enjoying life’s blessings.

L and R have this new baby girl who is just gorgeous….i can tell they are going to be a wonderful family.

congratulations to you both!

{beautiful family…. mr. d. } :: Toronto Newborn Photographer

Mr. D was one of the oldest newborns that i’ve seen in awhile.  He was oh so persistent and didn’t want to sleep for us.  He did eventually give in for a few moments here and there and we were able to capture these gorgeous images with his parents.  i can’t tell you how beautiful this family is…both inside and out.  dad and mom fit into their new roles so well.  dad was so sweet being ever so attentive with mom and his new son.  mom was so nuturing and i would find her whispering sweet sounds to her little boy to soothe him.  All the while i could see their joy, pride and love in their gentle touch.  So sweet to be a witness of love.

Congrats P and N.

Love,

–cherry.

{capture this moment.} :: Toronto Family Photographer

When P and N contacted me to do their family portraits, P told me that his parents were going to be in town and that he also wanted to capture their 5 and 3 year old kids, especially before his 5 yr old’s teeth started to fall out.  Instantly, i knew that i was going to enjoy this family.  Freezing the moment is so important and i loved that this family believed in that.

P and N, your family is so down to earth — simple and so easy going with such a strong sense of family.  i had a fun morning with you both, your charming parents, C & J, and your adorable little monkeys, A and A.

I promised i’d get this out on the blog for you.  Not much of a sneak-peek with your gallery going out in the same day but nevertheless, a promise is a promise.
