Remember, this little man? i photographed him with his lovely parents when he was 3 weeks old in march 2009.  well….he’s grown quite a bit since then.  So much that now he’s a big brother to a beautiful little baby sister named Sofia.

This is big brother, whom i photographed with my vintage door and in a cute little basket a year ago….

i haven’t used my vintage door in over a year.  What a perfect opportunity to pull it out and capture his sister using similar imagery ….

It truly is a wonderful feeling being a part of my client’s lives and watching their families grow.  P contacted me at the beginning of the year to tell me she was expecting #2.  Thanks so much for letting me be a part of such an amazing time in your lives.  Your children are beautiful!  congrats P&B.

You were so precious Miss A.  A tiny little sweet pea you were.  People always said that good things came in small packages….and they were absolutely right.  One morning i had the pleasure of meeting this little 5 pound package and she was beyond beautiful.

First off, i’d like to wish you all Happy Holidays!! This past year has come and gone so quickly. i have soooo much to be grateful for — so many amazing things have happened over the last year. it’s been a great year and i just wanted to take the time to thank each and every one of you for helping make this year such a fabulous one for Cherry Cortez Photography. We welcomed tonnes of new babies and captured lots of milestones for new and past clients. i’m so super excited for the new year — lots planned and lots of newborns i’m looking forward to meeting!!

I just wanted to share my family’s holiday card with you and I put together a little video of some of my favourite images from 2009, so if you have a couple of minutes, check it out…you might catch your cutie in it.

Meet gorgeous Miss A.  This is a looooong overdue post but i couldn’t help but NOT blog about this sweetie.  She was so alert at her session and gave me tons of expressions.  At 13 days old it’s amazing what character this little gal had.  I’m sending out her gallery tomorrow so this won’t be much of a sneak.peek but better late than never.  Congrats S and A, she’s a beautiful addition to your already gorgeous family.

On a side note, the studio has been UBER busy with lots happening.  Limited holiday mini-sessions were released this morning exclusively to newsletter subscribers.  So hint, hint all you blog stalkers — stop stalking and subscribe to the newsletter! After months years of stalling, i’ve finally created a CCP Facebook Fan page and a CCP Facebook Group.   Thanks to one of my wonderful clients, michelle for making me realize i’ve been procrastinating for way TOOOOOOOO long and for making me get my butt in gear!  lol.

This little man was soooooo good to me.  He was 21 days old for his ‘newborn’ session.  Normally, i hold newborn sessions before the baby is 10 days old so i was a little unsure about how he would curl or how sleepy he’d be.  He totally proved me wrong and curled and slept just beautifully …

P and B…it was sooo great to finally meet you all.   i had a wonderful afternoon with you both and your handsome new addition to your family.  Congrats to you both :) !!

Email Down

On a side note, if you have emailed me in the last couple of days and have not heard back from me, i promise….i’m not ignoring you.  I discovered late last night that my email has been down since Friday.  It is back up so if you have emailed me at info@cherrycortez.com, i will get back to you within the next 48 hours as i just received a backlog of emails at 2am this morning.  Thanks so much for your patience :) .
